Male Nurse/Practitioner?

I am embarking upon another controversy. My mom was a registered nurse. Today, there are male nurses, practitioners, etc. I say that it is time to change the nomenclature. There should be a divergence from old sterotypes such as a male nurse. I would recommend that males who train and become skilled in medical care and treatment be deemed registered medical professionals. Advanced training should be deemed registered medical practitioners. I love language and the language used of old no longer is congruent to the reality of the times. A nurse is a nurse according to gender. Let’s stop trying to fit a round peg into a square hole or vice versa.
